Drive just north of Santa Fe and you will reach the Pueblo of Pojoaque. Look over to the right and you will see the Poeh Cultural Center, the home of the Pueblo's Tribal Offices and home of the artwork of Roxanne Swentzell. Swentzell's work is humorous, touching, and powerful. Her work, often of women, aims to bring back the balance of power between men and women.
In 2019, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham honored Swentzell with the Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts, a life-time achievement award
Visit her website to find our more: https://www.roxanneswentzell.net or take a short drive to Pojoaque and experience her work directly.
